Natural Remedy Suggestions

As previously announced, we are now going to put a few things together in relation to maintaining good health and high spirits which you might consider.

Nature

The good news that we are not locked down and that allows us to get out into nature and fill our lungs with fresh air and spring’s vitality.

Needless to say that staying fit and active plays an important role in our well-being. However, in addition to all that let me share some practical hints which you might find useful in the coming weeks.

  1. Natural Immune Modulators

  • Since we are all facing a threat of a viral infection, it is important to realize that viruses attack us when our immune system is down.  Therefore, I would recommend natural immune modulators such as garlic, ginger and chillies.
  • Our immune system is equally associated with a lymphatic system which will undoubtedly benefit from such herbs as liquorice and burdock root.
  • These herbal teas can be easily found in your local health stores.  I am sure that many of you are aware of the much wider action of liquorice, as it does not only cleanse blood and lymph but also is used for a stubborn dry cough.
  1. Cough Symptoms

  • For those, who have already symptoms such as cough and other signs of a viral infection I would recommend the following: extract of propolis and grapefruit seed extract.
  • How they work?  Both of these remedies are brilliantly fighting staphylococcus and streptococcus infections which are in most cases the cause of respiratory infections.  Ten drops of extract with a glass of water three times a day makes miracles!
  1. Cleanse the air

  • The last but not the least! Treat yourselves and your family members with bouquets of wonderful eucalyptus, thyme, sagebrush or even rosemary and lavender.  These plants are known for their ability to cleanse and sanitize the air, leaving you with perfumed aroma of freshness.
  1. Acupressure Spots

  • Using acupressure points massage gently with your finger the point which is located in the muscular part between the first finger and the thumb.  This stimulates the immune system and reduces fever, sore throat or ear ache.
  1. Neck

  • They also say that infection enters the body at the base of the neck, so keep it warm by massaging some cold rub in the area.
