Toddlers to Teens

As your Child Grows – Toddlers to Teens at The Winton Practice

As your child grows and particularly when it first starts at a crèche or school, we know that they often just pick up things that just won’t shift. And they may develop other illnesses such as Asthma, recurring stomach upsets, or just general unsettlement.

And as they then get older and start to participate in sports and other activities they more than likely will get  a couple of bruises and injuries.  Treating these injuries with osteopathy sooner rather than later, may ensure that lingering injuries won’t cause structural problems later in teens or adulthood.

From toddlers, to tweens and teenagers, we know we can help with:

  • Chest infections and asthma
  • Supporting children through critical illness
  • Ear infections
  • Sinus and dental problems
  • Growing pains
  • Digestive difficulties
  • Behavioural problems and learning difficulties
  • Poor concentration
  • Just not themselves
  • Emotional stress
  • Anxiety
  • Sensitivity
  • Falls and accidents
  • Developmental delay
  • Sports injuries
  • Recovery from critical illness

Children with learning and developmental difficulties

At the Winton Practice we also regularly see children with long term problems; we help these children to be as well as possible and function to their fullest ability with whatever health issues they have.

We help with alleviating their symptoms and making them easier to manage. We know that treatment doesn’t cure the condition but we know we can help the children function better within the conditions they have.

We help children with

  • Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
  • Dyslexia and Dyspraxia
  • ADH
  • Epilepsy
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Down’s Syndrome

TODDLERS AND CHILDREN – We need see a child’s whole back and spine and examine their gait and so they need to undress down to their underwear.
